AI-Assisted Design & Pre-set Themes

Hangzhou, China2026Curriculum Design

🏷️ Quick Facts:

  • Location: Hangzhou, China (2026)
  • Facilitators: 2 School Teachers
  • Participants: 17 Primary School Students
  • Duration: 90-120 Minutes

-

💡 The Challenge: How to efficiently guide primary students to design a focused SDG game within a limited timeframe without getting lost in endless brainstorming?

🎯 Objectives:

  • Focus students on specific sustainability issues.
  • Maximize engagement and design efficiency.
  • Bridge the workshop activity with the ongoing school curriculum.

⚙️ Core Mechanics Used:

  • Pre-set Thematic Anchors: Limiting the scope to specific "Earth Day" topics (e.g., biodiversity, clean energy) to prevent topic drift.
  • AI-Assisted Lesson Planning: Using AI tools to rapidly tailor the workshop flow to different student levels.

🚀 The Application: Before the workshop, GMs pre-selected the environmental themes. During the session, students were given specific boundaries for their designs. After the workshop, the game design tasks were integrated into their regular classes, allowing students to refine their prototypes as homework.

✨ Key Innovation: A "divide and conquer" strategy. By combining pre-set environmental themes with AI-generated adaptable lesson plans, the GMs created a highly efficient, replicable model for short-form, high-impact workshops.
